This fantastic experience lasts 8 hours and will represent an ideal day for people who want to know the magnificent Funchal.

The departure is from Funchal towards Terreiro da Luta and its splendid viewpoints. If you believe that you have seen a more beautiful place, wait until you have seen Pico do Aireiro and its 1818 meters high. This peak is the highest of the island and enjoys a wild and rich scenery for photos and videos, then the pick-up will descend to the coast and we suggest you to get close to the window to observe the changing landscape: many small traditional villages will peek out with their thatched roofs and the traditional style of the area. The next stop will be the eastern point of the island to admire the coast of Madeira and to get lost in the heartbreaking panorama of the sea.

You can then take a walk in the park of Ribeiro Frio, a place rich in vegetation and where you can catch all the trips to the laurisilva jungle and the famous Levada Madeira (the path along the irrigation canal). A very interesting thing about Ribeiro Frio is that in the park there are large swimming pools used for trout breeding, so you can admire them in complete tranquility.

Lunch is in Santana, in a typical village with the classic triangular and thatched houses. Afterwards, the tour will stop in Portela and Ponta de São Lourenço, again with a beautiful panorama made of rocks, ocean and a breathtaking view.

The last destination is the fantastic city Machico anda golden beach with boats and crystal clear waters.

The tour ticket includes a tour guide in English, French, Spanish, German or Portuguese, a pick-up service and is an 8-hour tour. Lunch is excluded.

The pick-up service is free for selected hotels in the nearby areas but it is possible to use the terminal at the port for those on a cruise, in the latter case there will be a surcharge of 4 euros per person. This experience is recommended to all tourists who want to look at Funchal in a different way and want to spend a whole day in the company of an expert guide and a well-structured program.

There will be a way to see the mountains, the sea, the folk villages and a whole host of attractions known to the surroundings.
