The city of Machino, with its 11,800 inhabitants, is the fourth place in Madeira for the number of people who live there.

Church of Nossa Senhora From Conceicao

This church, located in the center of Machico, dates back to 1469 and was designed by the architect and Master Mason. Outside you will find a simple style crowned with classical columns, the interior is richly decorated, and you will find in the center, at the bottom, a golden altar that will immediately draw your attention. Outside you will also find an ancient statue of Vaz Teixeira.
